Week 1 - PGF Preparation!


Hey all! First blog post, and first big announcement!

We will be showcasing our game at the Perth Games Festival on September 11th, which is coming a lot earlier than expected. While we won't be able to show off the finished game, we will be able to gather data and will gauge what fixes/improvements need to be made. To those attending, we hope to see you there! (And if you stop by you may get a free sticker or fish-themed lolly 🤔)

Aside from the Perth Games Festival, we would like to give you an update as to what everyone's been up to the past week!

Weekly Devlog 1

Howdy all! I'm El, but i'll refer to myself as E for now! The past week has been a bit stressful, as we've had to adjust to the looming date of the Perth Games Festival. I've been touching up our Itch.io game page and finally published it! (Also if it's too hard to read, feel free to let us know and i'll make changes!) I've also been texturing our main characters, Pleo is all done but the Vendor has a temporary for-PGF texture for now :,)

And lastly, we have a poster for our game now! Done and dusted in about a day, i'm happy to show what our poster will be for the Perth Games Festival seen above! The file is MASSIVE so unfortunately this is a low-quality screenshot, but i'm excited to see how this will be printed out!

Hey everyone, I'm Dylan, and I'm the Tech Lead for Fishlings. I've been fine-tuning the core fishing mechanics for the game so players can have a relaxing, enjoyable experience. We've all been really busy recently preparing for the upcoming Perth Games Festival, but we hope to see you there so you can see the fruits of our labour!

We will be updating you weekly with what we are up to, so we hope you look forward to hearing from the whole team in the near future!
